QUOTE I'm using SPV1 model by Smart here in the Philippines. I tried the process but it doesn't ask for code, it just says INVALID SIM!
Can anyone help, tnx! Hi, What is your ROM version? and bootlooder version? I forgot my code at home so I cannot try it here at my office. Another problem is that I do not have a Globe sim at home  I did got to finish the process with no problem. Going to test it out once I have the chance. I have 1.6 ROM of smart. -------------------- A Leader is One who KNOWS the Way, GOES the Way, and SHOWS the way!

The unlock code you obtained is useless unless you install other ROMS such as those from Qtek, Imate and maybe Orange. |

You may try the search function. I believe there are already threads discussing the merits of any of these ROMs. I've tried QTEK with my SAP and found it to be stable.

The phone has been updated already to v1.6, i have just run the SPVunlock2.0.exe and retrieved the code, can someone pls let me know what i do with this now. At present the phone does not recognise either the orange sim or the O2 one. All the best RATTY |

When you put the non-Orange sim in the phone it should ask you for that code.

Turn aeroplane mode off. Press the power button (momentarily) then select from the menu to turn that mode off.

Ok... Which bit of the ROM update versions info is the important bit?
I know I don't have v1.6 cos none of them say that Can I update somehow? And does this unlock app have to be installed from PC or SPV? TIA Nik |

I have Bootloader V1.10 and upgraded to the 1.6 Rom.
The Unlock program gives me a code but after inserting an o2 sim fails when I type the unlock code in. "Invalid password", 2 attempts left. I have also tried to downgrade to V1.35 ROM with Bootloader V0.98 however the phone just sticks on the Orange Banner on Power Up it doesn't even look for a SIM Card. Anybody else experience the same problem ? |
