hey, tried to run the cert.cab i get this:
installation failed, the program or setting cannot be installed because it does not have adequate system permissions  what to do.. and the guy who made the sim unlock for free possible.. is great thank you so much just hope i get around itis it ok for me to use, i have a uk c500, but with the new french rom? thankys guys |

Great work guys! It would be even more amazing if this app works for the SMT 5600!! Great work tho to say the least - this will save a lot of people money, this should have been free to begin with, not small companies jacking up prices to earn profit just cuz u have no other choice.. so great work!!!!!!!!!! |

what if my Orange C500 has now the QTek ROM (version ROM 2.1.32.11) ?
is it still possible to sim unlock it? I run the SIMlock tool and I think I'm stuck am the message: "Please wait, reading encrypted block..." How long does this step have to run? |

A few timeouts (lots of traffic hitting the server ?) , but it found a locked sim , and unlocked , swapped in a vodaphone sim and it connected and works fine - now all i need is a dual sim adaptor :-) Thanks again |

Worked fine for me.
Copied Cert.cab onto my phone and installed it. Ran SPVServices.exe and unlocked. No problems whatsoever. Tested with an o2 sim I had lying around and all looks good. Cheers. |

To the person that complained of people making money from unlocking the C500 - florin_m is a genius that provided a service no one else could and I, for one, was quite prepared to pay for it and the excellent customer service he provides.
Months later someone else has cracked it and is offering a "similar" (if you have a c500) service for free. This is great and much appreciated - having just lost my phone I'll probably have to get my replacement unlocked and will use a free service rather than one I have to pay for b ut please don't knock someone for making money from their hard work unless you yourself work for nothing. -------------------- He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. I beta tested a few little things for Florin on his old site (someone ending in soft.com, cant remember exactly), but hes pretty much a sell out, stuff everyone n make money. I guess thats fair enough to wanna make money, I'd be the same, but £20 a go? Sorry thats rip off money. If they had gone for £5/£10 they'd of still made money, and maybe people wouldn't of been so eager to make a free version. SPV Developers I salute you.
