Welcome to the forum, You don't replace 00001001 by 1 and 00001005 by 40 - if you double click them they have values and it is these values you need to change.

When you highlight the key (eg 0001001) press your joystick in and it shows a screen with something like:
Value name:
0001001
Value data:
1
Base:
Decimal
Value type:
REG_DWORD
It is the Value Data you need to cjhhange to 1 (I'm not sure what iyt was before I changed it!)

Then do the same for the other key changing the value to 40.

I app unlocked using the registry method on the first page on my SPV C550, most apps now work ok but Sprite Backup will not work, tried removing it and installing it again, tried installing it on the storage card and built in storage, install ok but fails to run saying my phone is still locked

Anyone now how I can get this to run smile.gif

Would rather unlock it through the orange developer site but they don't recognise my imei, and I tried that orange registry tool but didn't work

Please help, I need to restore my Sprite Backup image as all my contacts and prgrams are in that image

Thanks biggrin.gif

Just follow the instructions on the Orange website; it gives you an email address to contact if things still don't work after installing the Action Register tool. You should then receive a security application targetted for you specific IMEI within a day or two.

I don't think there's any need to recap. It's quite clear from the posts in this thread (including the thread title!) wink.gif

That's not a site, when you click on that link it downloads the file - what happens when you try? Are your security settings blocking it?

thanks, that solved the problem..I had to press the left key when the last "Policies" is shown...I should not press the "joystick to select it....I have changed the values as explained and now it should be decertified...

So the next problem comes up:

I have copied the 3 files: "CERT.CAB", "SPV Services.exe" and "TyphoonNBFTools.dll"´to a folder on the memory card. I run the CERT.CAB and now only SPV Services and TyphoonNBFTools.dll is shown in the folder. When I press SPVServices is says "SPV services is not a valid Windows CE appplication"....what did I do wrong sad.gif please let me know...thanks in advance wink.gif

Flippin' heck, you're making hard work of this! Have you actually read the instructions?

The .exe and .dll are supposed to be run from your PC.

@ fozzie...sorry I didnt mean to..but I dont think the explanation is that good...well anyway...I am one step further...I connected my phone to the PC (after I installed AS and it connects OK to the Phone)..

Then I start SPVService and it starts up the SPV service page..but It says:

"RAPI Init failed: Cannot create client DLL"

How do I get across that?

I have to mention, that I use a UK Orange SIM card, but there is no connection to the network as there is no O network here in Denmark anymore (which is why I want to unlock it so I can use my SIM card....

So please help me...I know it is fustrating  ...but please help me

Spider, are "SPV Services.exe" and "TyphoonNBFTools.dll" in the same directory on your P?

No no no no no.

These two files do NOT go on the phone, put them in a folder on your computer and run the exex from there.
