Thanx for the help guys blink.gif

Now for any other noobs out there i worked it out. If you unpack the rar on your pc you get .xml and .001 or any .oo files just leave the rar place it on your phone and your mobile will reconise it as a .cab and install the software for you

Most likely you have the .cab associated with WinRAR.

Do not "open" the cab. Just download it, copy it to device (via activesync), and then "launch" it on the device to install.

Or install CABViaActivesync utility - it will be able to do same in one right click on the cab.

The .cab file Identified by : ".cab" extension

The .cab file is a relative of .zip - this is where a lot of people go wrong. When the .cab file is sitting on your PC it'll have a "Zip" icon which leads a lot of people into un-zipping them to their PC and then copying the files across to the phone - NO! Don't do this dude! Don't forget that .cab files have information in them about where to install, so you should find a shortcut in your SmartPhones' program menu for the file after it's installed.

Device(s): blackjack II

Works on my Blackjack II. The scroll wheel adjusts the brightness very well.

One issue - it will only go as bright as the backlight settings in the Settings panel for the phone. For example, if I have my backlight set to 3/5 brightness, the flashlight will not go brighter than 3/5. This is a great app, but I keep my backlight dim for normal use. I would like to be able to go to full brightness with the flashlight without having to go change the settings first. Is it like this on all devices, or just mine?

Thanks.
