Device(s): HTC Touch HD

The follow platforms are suitable for use with MoDaCo CamerAware:

- Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC 320x240 (Portrait or Landscape)
- Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC 640x480 (Portrait or Landscape)
- Windows Mobile 5 Pocket PC 240x240 (Square Screen)

- Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone 320x240 (Portrait or Landscape)
- Windows Mobile 5 Smartphone 176x220 (Portrait)

- Windows Mobile 2003 / SE Pocket PC 320x240 (Portrait or Landscape)

You will also need a Bluetooth, Cabled or Integrated GPS.

Please note that Smartphone devices prior to Windows Mobile 5 are NOT supported, as they are unable to run version 2.0 SP1 of the .net Compact Framework, on which CamerAware is built.

If you're not sure if your device will run CamerAware, feel free to reply to this topic and we'll let you know!

Hi!

Windows Mobile 2003 SE Smartphones are an unsupported platform.

If you install the old version - http://www.modaco.com/content/cameraware.cab - you should be able to get it to work however.

Sorta... there are no US safety cameras in the database, but the personal tracking features work fine.

Could this be built for the traffic cams in the US. We have cameras at intersections that will snap a few portraits if you decide to drive through a yellow or red light. Then you get the "bill" in the mail

If there's a red light, stop wink.gif

Paul,

On installing the CameraAware application on my recently acquired (new) SPVM3100 (running MS Windows Mobile Version 5.0 - OS 5.1.195 (Build 14955.2.3.0) I get an error that says "This application requires a newer version of the Microsoft.net Compact Framework than the version installed on this device."

Can you help?

I did try and get the free trial version first but had problems getting the trial downloads to send to my email address. So, based on the reviews, I went for it and paid for a copy.

Can you help?

Regards, The Moomie.

From 'the complete getting started with CamerAware guide'...

QUOTE
Installing .net Compact Framework 2.0 SP1

CamerAware is written using .net Compact Framework 2.0 SP1. Unfortunately, Smartphone and Pocket PCs don't yet contain this in ROM, so you need to install it manually.

To do so, download the redistributable package from this page and install to either Storage Card or Main Memory (if you have plenty of spare space) - both work fine, installing to Main Memory is slightly more performant.

Give that a bash and you should be fine wink.gif
