mine as well... how do I fix it?

Any update on this, have the same problem. Installed the Office 6 cab file, works fine, but can't remove pixel viewer. Would like to remove it or get it working.

Got Pocket MSN and VoiceAssist with XXGA2, which I didn't have one. Makes up for loosing pixelviewer.

Did anyone get their i600 work with Vista in flash mode?
Vista sees the i600, but the i600 can't see Vista. The flasher doesn't recognize the device either.

I tried three Microsoft's i600 drivers so far, tried disabling ActiveSync (actually, Sync Center, but never mind) and tried installing the BlackJack Driver Modem, both via installer and manually (Vista just won't recognize it as a valid driver for that device). No dice...

Any ideas? Or is Vista just not supported and that's that...

orcinus: I'd tried flash in Vista, but device wasn't found. I think that Vista core are not good for this operation. Try to make flash in Windows XP.

New European upgrade "no-brand" firmware Edit: Please don't link to ROMs hosted on rapidshare
For upgrade and resolve all previous problem need to install "BlackJack Modem Driver".
This software is included in new firmware.
(Hope to give you soon firmware with Windows Mobile 6!!)
Enjoy it!

Awha?

I flashed it about three weeks ago, when it was released.
Not much of a change from a functional pov. Still don't have the SIM contacts filter option, still won't auto-detach data connection. Did get me rid of the vodafone branding, though and got the carousel home screen back.

Hi! I have installed Edit: Please don't link to ROMs hosted on rapidshare soft and it works great. No more hangs while answering the phone, longer battery life. This one is great at last.

Windows Mobile 6

I have found Windows Mobile 6 (Code name WMCrossBow).
The prg has an automatic procedure of Rom upgrade.
It seems very simple....
BTW, for the moment not me hazard to try it ......!!!
If someone wants to try it, msg me in private.
Bye

A quote from GSMHosting forii:

"I600U WM6.0 code name Xbow, i have that at 1.5 months ago. I600 can flash to I600 WM6.0 easily, but that file is not complete bugs free, so don't ask for it please."

That's from Winvista, the same guy who let the i600XXGD1 (and other recent firmwares) loose.

The i600XXGC6 works perfectly. However when I try to install the i600XXGD1, I get some kind of region error. I installed the modem driver succesfully, and the update programm says (after a while of trying different ports) that it finds the modem. Then the update aborts with the aforementioned region error (wrong region or something). Phone bought in Germany, previous ROM was i600XXGC4.

Now I have XXGD1 for EBOOT/PDA and XXGC6 for PHONE. I really want XXGD1 for PHONE, too.

Any ideas?
