I want to install the language pack but it says no sufficient system permission - what to do - I would like to add german as T9 language.

For the Belgian (Flamisch) people who bought a HTC S710 azerty I would like to add the following:

I got the language pack from this site.
I also downloaded the mobile registry editor from this site.
the keyboard dlls were not removed by the isntallation of the language pack, so I didn't have to take care of this anymore, the dll was still on the device
Same for the eT9.Vox.040C.kmap.txt file which stands for the French azerty keyboard mapping

I connected the HTC S710 with activesync and launched the mobile registry editor (be carefull to launch form a local drive, otherwise it will not work, not over a unc path anyway)

in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\IME\KeyboardLayouDlls] I added
"0000070C"="eT9.Vox.040C.kmap.txt"

and in [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Tegic\eT9\IME\LanguageKeyboardIDMapping] I changed the key

"*"="07FF" to "*"="070C"

thus the registry now looks like

Hello,

I have a french HTC with azerty keyboard with HTC_Vox_ARA_1.27.415.4_4.1.13.47 rom.
It works well, it is totally in french, except my keyboard (in abc mode) write in qwerty (when i type on visual touch A, a Q appears on the screen).

Then, i tried Paul's Vox eT9 Language Pack wich include "eT9.Vox.040C.kmap.txt". I configured all in french.
But my keyboard still write in qwerty (in abc mode) (when i type on visual touch A, a Q appears on the screen).

What can I do?????

How to install a cab: Copy it to your phone via ActiveSync. Execute with your phone's file manager.

Question: Paul, do you have a OEM package of this cab or could you provide the original files with the ini, because MSCEInf messes the reg keys up and I would like to include it in my ROM! Thanks for this!

How about danish T9 for the vox? .. seen you have it on an older model ...

Paul where do the language files come from? I'd really love Norwegian on my phone as i'm currently learning it, and figured having it on my phone will help me learn without any hassle. So any suggestions on where I may be able to get this? I know I had it on my i-mate spl but don't suppose that's much use is it? Any advice you may have would be great smile.gif

I tried to install this with my SMT 5800 which is alot like the S710
and it gives me the message about suffient permissions.

Any suggestions?
