The iPhone is not all screen. Have you actually held one? I was amazed by how much wasted space there is at each end! As to it being 2.8 or 3.5" there were some brochures that came out from HTC a month or two ago that mentioned 3.5" and VGA for the Polaris. It's not just one blog post as you indicate. Until I hear confirmation otherwise, I would expect it to be a 3.5" device with VGA since HTC has said it would be themselves.

If there were some brochures that came out from HTC a month or two ago that mentioned 3.5" and VGA for the Polaris, how come we've not seen hide nor tail of them on the 'net? ALL the sources I've seen so far point back to that single PDF from CTI-Miami in June.

Still, lets hope you're right, eh? smile.gif

I got them off the net and they were PDF. Maybe we're talking about the same thing? I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Is this the first picture of the HTC Artemis successor, the HTC Polaris?

Apparently so, if source SmartMobileGadgets is to be believed!

The device is specced up to the max, featuring...
  • Windows Mobile 6 Professional
  • 3.5" VGA screen
  • 256 ROM / 128MB RAM
  • Qualcomm MSM7200 @ 400 MHz
  • WCDMA 2100 MHz, HSDPA 3.6 Mbps
  • EDGE/ GSM/GPRS, quad-band 850/900/1800/1900 MHz
  • Bluetooth
  • Wireless LAN 802.11 b/g
  • GPS/AGPS
  • Digital compass
  • FM radio
  • 3 megapixel camera with auto focus
  • miniUSB, USB 1.1
  • MicroSD expansion
...and it's clear from the picture here that TouchFlo - a la HTC Touch - is going to feature on this device, completed with flush hardened screen. I love my QWERTYs personally but, still... <drool /> biggrin.gif

Hope it looks better in real life. IMO those pictures make it look bland to the extreme.

My next phone if its the same size or smaller than the Athenia (depending on Pauls review of course).

With all those features and that size I think I'd be willing to give touch flo a try over a hardware qwerty.
