It turns out I had 3 certs on my server (no idea why) after installing all 3 I can now Sync.
I didn't want to explain to the guys at work that I bought the Pink one coz I'm tight so I told them it's because I'm gay. One in ten men apparently are and as it isn't any of them I came to the conclusion it must be me. My g/f disagrees but now I have a Pink phone to prove it.... -------------------- He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

Well, it looks like my decision has been made for me. I tried to flash my C500 with a wm6 rom at the weekend and made a total arse of it, so it's now stuck in the bootloader screen. I've spent ages trying to sort it out and have now lost patience. So I'm going to get a StarTrek !

Be quick unless you like pink! http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=132854 65 left when I ordered yesterday, 9 left as of 12.45 today. As it's an 'eu' version maybe as well spending another fiver and getting a uk mains charger rather than having to mess with a euro adapter. I'm assuming 'eu' versions come with european plugs? Anyone care to confirm? I ordered a spare anyway. http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=135489 m.s |

Just order mine, (the EU version), but didn't bother ordering the adapter. I can always charge it over USB if needed.

I can always charge it over USB if needed. USB doesn't supply a lot of power - there are times when Mains charging is desirable. -------------------- He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever.

AFAIK all USB plugs are rated at 3.8 v so you could just plug the supplied USB in to an ipod mains plug or similar.

My replacement is due tomorrow morning - I hope it comes with a UK plug! As I thought the smartflip does indeed come with an EU mains adapter. I thought this was *technically* against the law in this country but there ya go... some of expansys' wording on their terms makes me think they don't really know much about the law but anyway.. ( 10 day warranty on grade b stock anyone? Exemption from distance selling regs for grade b stock as it's 'second hand'? etc etc etc) Being a former qtek 8500 owner I can confirm the USB sync cable will charge the unit from a USB mains adapter or car ciggie lighter adapter. Knowing how poor battery life is on these things, I also previously invested in the battery pack with 'bump' but it looks massively overpriced now compared to the phone itself! Can't remember which drawer it went into when my old 8500 died. P.S the smartflips come with a leather-like case...the qtek's don't. Unfortunatly the connector on the phone isn't a standard Mini USB No but the other end is a standard USB, so you can use that to charge with a USB MAins plug (such as an Ipod charger). I didnt buy it from a B grade stock - simply from special offers. -------------------- HTC Tytn2 running Dutty's Diamond Rom V1 and an Imate Smartflip running Erofich's WM6.1
