 microsoft .net Compact framework?, Can I upgrade?

Hi,

I have been trying to install a golf gps programme on my pocket PC. It installs fine but when i run it I get an error message saying something about it requiring ate later version of Microsoft .NET Compact Framework than the one installed.

Can anyone tell me what this is and if I can upgrade maybe ?

I have windows Mobile v5
