I am interested in getting an Asus Eee PC, but I'm worried about the manufacturers warranty sticker preventing consumers from upgrading the memory. If I were to purchase the Eee I would upgrade it to at least 1GB of RAM instead of the pre-installed 512MB of RAM. Although I don't want to take the chance of it dieing on me down the road. Now, I know that Newegg.com offers a warranty (one year or two). But they don't specify if anything voids their warranty. So if I purchased the Eee from Newegg.com with their warranty, would upgrading the RAM void both warranties?

And if it does become void, it's a bit of a crock that they would offer as an accessory RAM (1GB and 2GB) right under their warranty option. biggrin.gif
