I just received an email from one of our readers whose been full of good info in the past. They’re apparently privvy to the AT&T roadmap for 2008. Most of the information seems to agree with what’s been speculated about. Lots of WM 6.1 refreshes and some slightly updated models. Details after the jump.



Ok, here is the shimmy from AT&T for the year:

For Blackberry expect the following:

3Q/08:

BlackBerry Curve 8320 (Wi-Fi)

Are they dropping BT from the BJII or is it default?

That's not the antenna, haha. it's the stylus. What I see in that picture is a Samsung i780 which is already available (but ridiculously expensive). It has BT.

Don't tell me it's touch screen....

Looks like I might be getting a BB Bold then...

I want something that's not touch screen and some kind of navigation that's not a digital pad (like the scroll wheel on the BJII or the the track ball on the BBCurve2)

Thanks for this share, but I wouldn't like using and or Loosing a stylist
on Any phone...I hope someone eventually makes cell phone as BiG as
a small laptop...we can Always use Our BT headsets in case we ever
want to talk on it... Bwahahahaa

Can you say PHOTOSHOPPED??? Take a look at the keyboard. Look at where the numbers are. Yes, that's right - just like the annoying layout of BJI. They changed the layout in BJII so that all the numbers are together when dialing a phone#. Why in the h311 would they go back? That pic is a fake, plain and simple. rolleyes.gif

Actually, this a phone that is already available. No photoshopping here! I doubt the BJ3 will look exactly like that, it may not have the touchscreen, but I guess we'll just see.

This is what another site is saying the BJIII will look like- so pretty much like the picture above only difference is they are saying the OS will be 6.1 Pro

no they're not. they're both the samsung i780. the first pic with the bj1 layout is the pre-production of the i780, but the final revision has the bj2 layout. just look up the i780. it's been out for months. i doubt they're going to make the i780 the bj3.

this is awesome! samsung finally has an official upgrade to 6.1 for one of their phones. It should not be long before we get one for BJ2. I was actually just checking to see if anyone had a link yet. I heard the upgrade was suppose to be available in July. There's only a few more days left until August!

whats the advantages of 6.1 over 6? is it just bug fixes or will there be visual or program changes?

I want that update as well. I bought my BlackJack 2 because I saw it was on the update list.

Anyone remember the fun of the WM6 for the BJ1 update? We could be in this for the long haul.
