Hello:

'Been lurking here for some time and have found the forum very informative. I presently own a Nokia N95 and have come to the conclusion that all the fine Windows Mobile programs that I use on my HP Ipaq 210 Enterprise PPC, have spoiled me.

I have been looking long and hard at the HTC Kaiser and some time has passed since my first look. During that time several new HTC models have been released and I am wondering if I should still be looking at the Kaiser as my replacement for the Nokia or not?

Suggestions Please.

Thanks

I like my Kaiser. Obviously the Touch Pro is the better and newer version, however just check if there are any GPS lag issues - thought I heard something about that? And for me, I actually like having a few hard keys rather than all via the touch screen.
Depends what you want - I would have thought that price wise the Kaiser should be relatively cheap now, and cooked roms are coming out left right and centre. For performance however the Touch pro is better specced (screen etc as well). If you are going to be tied to a contract for example, then the Kaiser might be out of date a bit too soon for you.
I am not out of contract for another year, and am hoping to bypass the Touch Pro completely and see what comes out after that. (Just cos otherwise the Touch Pro will probably be old hat soon in to my next contract.....)

O2 XDA Stellar - Custom Rom cooked using Mbarvians Kaiserchef and Mbarvians Solace 1.05 as a base.

Orange M3100 (Now just there to satisfy my need to flash ROMs....)

Thanks much for the info. No contracts here, I've discovered that I enjoy the freedom that an unlocked phone offers after lots of time with verizon junk....an...and. Anyway, I appreciate very much.

Thanks

I would prefer a non contract phone, but cost wise cannot run to it, Given that I got my Kaiser free on the phone tariff I would have bought anyway - cannot complain.

If you are happy to upgrade again in say 9 months or so, (and happy flashing your phone with a new ROM) then maybe get a kaiser and run with it for nion emonths whilst they come up with new roms for the Raphael (Touch Pro).
