Hi to you all,
New in here, just got my i900 yesterday from Phones4u Sim free, quoted on telephone £449 15 mins later in shop it scanned at £399. (8gb model)
Any way I am very happy so far, but it dosen't seen to connect with HSDPA, only GPRS.
I am using it with my O2 iphone sim card.
Last week I had a HTC Diamond which was using same sim and was always connected with HSDPA.

Does anyone have any ideas, (Yes it is enabled in the settings menu, and Yes it did work with this sim in another phone)

Does it connect with edge or 3G ? Does it detect 3G coverage (did you ever see the 3G icon, before the connection) ?
If not you may have the same problem as me...

im on 02 and mine shows the 3g signal, then when it goes to hsdpa it has a tiny almost invisable + sign in the little 3g box, it will also tell you when you click the 3g box wether its connected via gprs/3g or hsdpa.

Its either G, in very rural areas or 3G in town, on the HTC Diamond it was H everywhere in town, and fast, just on 3G I can not use Google maps with GPS cos its too slow...
Never had a little plus sign.

Fancy trying this CAB and seeing if it gives you a 'H' icon? (reboot required after install)

Hi,

I am painfully having the same issue.

I have done a hard reset 3 times and I am still not able to connect to 3G or H. It is still sitting in 2G/Edge. This is very frustrating. I have checked band selection and no where to do it. The HSDPA is checked off in settings. so what gives?
Pls help.

Thanks
