Ok, i have the Mpx200 and so do other members of my family, which i recomended to them.

One of them said they can't hear the phone when some one's calling them. So i looked at it and it seemed fine. Then i rang the phone whilst it was next to me and it seemed the volume was down low. Checked that and it was set to max. Checked settings, profiles, volume control etc etc. All set to max. So i tried my phone, the same. Although you can go into the sounds and choose your ring tone and it sounds loud. However when mine rings it's like the volume's been turned down. Now when you put the phone down(the one that's calling your mobile) the phone goes loud for a split second.

Anyway, phoned Orange and they said it's a fault. I asked if it's a known fault, they said no. So they're replacing it. As for the other Mpx200's my family has, i'm going to wait until i get the replacment to see if it's any different.

So is anyone else having simular problems?

Was the phone open or closed? The ring volume is significantly louder when the phone is closed. Try that.

there is "hidden" profile (it's not really hidden it just a way to explain this) that when the phone is open the ring will ring really low, then get louder at the end. It's done like this so that if you have the settings to LOUD, and you are working on the phone you don't get balsted by the loud tone. Like mentioned previously, try having the phone closed, then call it.

i have a related question. If I have meetings set up with reminders and the reminder goes off while I am on a phone call, it is really loud and vibrates the whole phone. Is there a way to make the phone just lightly beep once for reminders while i am taking a call?? I nearly had a heart attack because of this
