This offer is currently only available to UK members,
but will be expanding to other areas in the future as Tiscali expand their services.

That's right, we are now able to offer a 1 year MoDaCo Plus subscription absolutely FREE when you sign up to Tiscali Smart Talk, which is also absolutely free!

For each member that signs up with the Tiscali Smart Talk service, Tiscali will cover the cost of that member's MoDaCo Plus membership for one year.

If you are ALREADY a MoDaCo Plus member, then your second year membership will be free!

So what's the catch?

Honestly, there isn't one.

The Tiscali blurb:

QUOTE
- Save up to 89% on your phone calls!
- FREE to join
- No need to change your BT line or number
- No minimum contract

Smart Talk works with your existing BT line and number, but automatically transfers your calls through our low cost network - there's NO prefix to dial and NO box to plug in.

You simply use the phone as normal but pay much less for your calls!

So how do you take advantage of this free MoDaCo Plus offer?

You need to do TWO things.

Firstly, sign up for Tiscali Smart Talk by CLICKING HERE

Secondly, you need to let me know that you have signed up by mailing Tiscali@MoDaCo.com and tell me both your username, and the full name you used to sign up with the Tiscali service.

After you have signed up, after approximately 3 working days, I will be able to verify your signup and activate your Plus subscription.

It's as simple as that!

If you have any questions, please feel free to PM me! smile.gif

Bt line is required, sorry mate.

I use it at home, it took my bill down to less than £18 per month from over £50 !

well it'll mean the end of my membership im afraid. The extra competition entries will mean less and less now, as there will be many more plus members. More Members = Less Chance. I know the main idea was to support modaco, but I also donated to Plus to get a good chance of winning a competition. Theres gonna be a lot less chance now. Sorry Paul sad.gif

hehe, im sure you'll get more. I know this is probably good for modaco, and im probably being selfish but I just think Plus will be too full.

How does Tiscali compare to SkyTalk?

Hi Mark,

They do offer a better range of packages and overall are cheaper.

I use it at home and have seen good results so far.

I'm not sure how skytalk works, but with smart talk you don't get charged a connection fee ( BT will still charge you 5p per call even if you are on for a couple of seconds ) and there is no minimum call charge.

It's nice as well because they set it all up for me to change from BT and there is no contract.

I think they allow it, as long as your company has less than 20 employees.

So on regular business lines, then yes as my father-in-law uses it.

Well I guess i'm the first and only Plus member so far with the Tiscali promotion.

It was very easy to sign up to Tiscali, there free package looks like it might actually save me money on my landline, even tho most of my calls are made using my E200 :-)

Thanks to Paul too! As a Plus member, i will endeavour to start posting my thoughts/help and have a go coding some useful apps/games for you all.

All,

I signed up with Tiscali and explicitly told them that I did not want them to transfer all calls automatically (I would use a pre-fix dial up instead). I contacted them 4 times and this was confirmed. Guess what? I got a letter from BT saying that Tiscali had arranged for all my calls to be automatically transfered to them with no pre-fix.

I called Tiscali and they said that they had not done this. Seems strange that BT are giving away their customers.... Went through the entire process again and it was confirmed that I would use a pre-fix dial up. Got another letter from BT saying the same thing that Tiscali were transfering all calls. Contacted Tiscali and they said that this is what I had asked for! I have received nothing from them about their packages or sharges (as promised) except for a letter confirming my direct debit.

They are money grabbing cowboys. I have asked BT to report them to OFCOM for mis-selling a product. I have cancelled all direct debits with Tiscali and hope that I never hear from them again. Be Warned People

So far i've had the direct debit letter, but no direct debit actually set up. I always cancel my direct debits once they've been set up anyway, i hate the bank charging me £30 a pop if i don't get my money in on time!

Anyway, i'm still happy! Will let you know if my bill goes up/down when/if i receive one!!

ive been with Tiscali before for both phone and internet.. the modaco+ is tempting, but honestly you dont want the hastle.. Tiscali's service SUCKS THE BIG ONE, thats why i left thenm over a year ago.... i still get direct debit setup letters followed by apology letters - wish id never been near them, annoying in the max second only to AOL.
