just wanted to say, success!!! finally gave up and upgraded to the imate ROM, with the imate ROM and florins fixed exe, and it worked flawlessly! just in a days use, I can see battery improvements, hopefully my bluetooth woes go away, as well as the phone turning off every now and then... but mms does not work

QUOTE I've posted this elsewhere but I know a few people were asking about getting MMS on the E200UK once the Imate ROM has been installed in this thread so I'll copy my response below:
First things first - below are the details I took from my Orange E200 UK before I flashed with the Imate ROM (you don't need all of these settings but they were on the Orange ROM so why not?) :D Go to Start - Settings - Data Connections then press Menu - Edit Connections and add in each of the following: Proxy Connections Name: Orange WAP Proxy Connects From: The Internet Connects to: WAP Network Proxy: 192.168.71.35 Type: WAP Username: blank Password: blank GPRS Connections Name: Orange GPRS Connects to: The internet Access point: orangeinternet This is the important one for MMS Name: Orange MMS Connects to: Work Access Point: orangemms Name: Orange WAP Connects to: The internet Access Point: orangewap Now Open up MMS Composer and choose Settings Change Max Sending Size to 100K Change No of Attempts to 3 Change Connect Via to Work Then Choose Menu and then MMSC Settings Edit the default Profile and change the following: Change Name to Orange MMSC Change MMSC URL to http://mms.orange.co.uk/ Change WAP Gateway to 192.168.224.10 Now please bear in mind these are for Orange UK only - if you have any problems reply and I'll see what I can do. Hope this helps well im glad somebody had the good sense to do this.. -------------------- |

I have a Mobistar spv e200 running operator version 2.6.6.4 (manufactor 1.11.6.7 and radio 1.12.01). This is the latest update from the Mobistar (=Belgian Orange) website (12/5/2004)
Do I have to upgrade? What will be different? tnx, Gert |

I must say that one of my absolute favourites with this rom is how it doesn't disconnect GPRS with holding down "Hangup". GREAT!!! Finally I can lock my phone and keep Agile connected without all the hassle...

QUOTE HI everyone,
1. Download the iMate zip file from the 1st page 2. Install and choose a path to extract the files to (in my case C:SPVimate) then cancel the install 3. download the Greek QTEK 8080 update (again link earlier in the post) 4. Run this and choose path to extract (C:SPVgreek) 5. Download the Florin's Fixed exe (again from this forum - maybe even this topic) 6. copy the NK.nbf file FROM the imate folder, to the Greek folder - if prompted choose to overwrite 7. Copy the fixed .exe to the Greek folder 8. Put the phone to the Canary screen (turn off then hold the record button and power button - some say you must have an SD card in at this point - I did) 9. Run the file VoUpgradeUT-GR.exe in the Greek folder 10. Viola. If this failed run the fixed exe instead (again from Greek folder) OMG! I finally have an E200 that functions as a phone! I cannot thank you enough for posting this guide. I now have a phone that I can put an SD card into without killing it dead; I have a phone that has a functioning T9; I have a phone that will last more than 12 hours before it runs out of Juice. I'm happy at last. Obviously Orange did nothing to bring me my happiness though. Useless b******s. -------------------- Bloody sod yer then

Hey,
I have an Orange E200 on O2 from the UK, running radio stack 1.12.04 and ROM 2.7.1.1 From others who Had the same phone as me - what procedure did you have to go through to update to the latest Imate rom? Some had to use the greek rom, & some just upgraded straight without the Fixed.exe. |
