Hi all,

Orange ROM 2.7.1.1

I've just simunlocked my e200, I think, but I can't seem to check if it's worked. I went into the DIAG screen via the boot loader but there's no option in there other than the reset option. Any ideas?

If you've used the new patched rom method, the app will say if it's patched the rom ok. Apart from that, the only way of knowing if your phone is sim unlocked is by putting a non orange SIM in.

Thanks for you reply. So basically "suck it and see".

I'm surprised that there are no, er, "utilities" out there that will tell me. Oh well...

BTW, yes, I did do the patched ROM trick and it said that everything went OK.

You can run WindowsSimlock.exe (either through SmartExplorer or create a shortcut).

To create a shortcut, create a text file called SimLock.lnk for example with the following content and put it somewhere in your Start Menu :wink:

If your device is unlocked, you'll see the input box with a blank text (it won't display "enter network code")

Then you can turn off the phone or kill the process remotely :wink:

Hey, nice trick - cheers.

I get the empty input box and no "enter network code", so it looks like the patched ROM worked. Excellent!
