I was at the AT&T store yesterday and they said the new Mpx200 will be coming Nov 15th, and it will have the 850mhz band and have some fixed problems it had! Anyone here of this? Maybe it will also have wm2003. So i guess att didn't want to release it but cingular did. And that will be the wm2003 updated phone that mpx200 users will have to buy all over again. any thoughts anyone?

Maybe they would release the mpx200 with 850mhz band with updated rom, but i dont think that it would come preloaded with WM2003.

Sounds more like the guy in the store was a little confused :?
I would find it hard to believe that moto would release a new version of an old phone.
Stranger things happen though.

Well, from what I understand what is written here, ATT is going to release the tri band phones, instead of the dual band phones that they were releasing all this while.

This doesn't mean that Motorola is releasing an old model, but ATT is taking an older model and releasing a different version of it.

Don't you think it's more likely they're releasing the MPx220? That would be an easy misunderstanding to make. Plus, some of those att guys seem to know beans about only the phones they have in stock. I asked about the 220 recently, and the guy showed no signs of recognition.

you have a point. maybe youre right, why would they release a new version of an old model, when there is a new model which came out recently. maybe it's just misunderstanding.

That would be more practical though...
