 I-mate SP3 update problem

Why can't I update my SP3 software version 1.2.33.11 to v.1 1.33.13? ROM Update Utility gives me message Error (294): Invalid vendor ID. That new software includes language support for my area. So is there any way to make this update?

have you tried to perform the upgrade again after removing and reattaching the sync cable?

Nothing new so far. I-mate support suggested to download the RUU file again but that didn't help. Has anyone succeeded in this update?

I am registered at club i-mate, but I can't seem to find the ROM upgrade. Where exactly is it ?

Here is the latest response from i-mate support:

Thank you for writing in again. Regarding your query, I have double check with the site developers and they confirm that the link is working fine and it has no problem. Therefore, I believe that there could be an issue from your end or your browser or the PC itself. I suggest you to try to download from different PC and using different browser.

are you kidding?!! i am trying to install the swedish language support version of this rom and i sent a mail to i-mate, after getting exactly the same wrong...the email i recieved from i-mate was EXACTLY like yours! are they ignorant or just stupid?

wich is strange cuz before they told me they had checked and there was nothing wrong with there site and that it must have been my webbrowser...i hope there not just trying to bore us out instead of trying to fix the problem...

I do not think they have understood the problem. It's not a download problem or a problem getting the file. It is the updating software itself which check previous installed "vender ID".

I have no problem downloading 1.1.33.13 neither downloading and installing the 1.2.33.11 version, however flashing the ROM with 1.1.33.13 is not working due to the "vender ID" check. I thought this would be an easy fix for them, they should just give us a new version of ROMUpdateUtility.exe.

Please .....

That's my 2 cents ........

Oh yeah, I got the same message today and a little later they asked my IMEI number. Lets hope that they really are doing something. Their site has been slow and tacky last days.

Well, now the 1.1.33.13 is unavailable for update.
The site says:

I choose to interpret this as a good sign, i.e. they recognise the problem and their working on "upgrading" the update....

I got an e-mail from i-mate confirming they are working on an update for 1.1.33.13, hopefully they will have it ready within a week.
