The official orange site has sounds and backgrounds available for download, all in CAB format, how do I install them on the phone? Can't seem to find them, tried copying them to the App.data/sounds dir and they didn't list, and I cannot find them when I put them on my flash card, thanks in advance! Nice forum imo! Cheers..........

ehh "official orange site" being this; http://spv.orange-today.co.uk/

Just copy the cab to any location, and use the all locations explorer to execute it!

Voila!

I downloaded the files over GPRS using the gallery link on the "Orange 1" home page. They installed automatically :-)

All locations explorer came on the provided SD memory card. You have to install it.....

When the file finishes downloading, doesn't it ask if you want to install the app ?

Thats the behaviour I get.

The sounds when downloaded are installed and can be seen in settings - sounds so you can pick them as a ring tone, they are aso available through the MMS client "oh hello" is a great deal of fun I have to say).

The backgrounds install automatically to the home page, but you can change them by going to settings-> home screen->background image, all the ones you have downloaded should be in there.

Hope this helps.
