Hey,

I just bought tomtom Mobile today & have it running on my phone. It says the first time it can take up to 45 mins to sort the gps signal out. I have left it & the picture Went back to colour for a while.
Left it for 30 mins... I come back to it and run it again. And it seems to have a very dodgy gps connection.

I haven't yet charged the gps receiver, as it will only charge in-car which mine only works if the engine is on.
At the moment, it just keeps going Colour / Black & White & has a few low Reception on the right hand side in the bar. (only has 1 bar and it's sitting right next to the phone)
Also The map is moving around even though I'm not moving - is this normal?

Also an added note: keypresses seem to be really slow when typing in an address for example - nowhere near as responsive as normal.

Thanks

Device(s): C550 I know its old

What phone do you have?
If it's the C500 you will need to run the Traffic update in my review in the Software Application section. Follow my guide on the first post to enable the GPS unit to work.

E200, it seems to be keeping the connection more still.
Is there anyway to tell whether its the bluetooth giving up, or the gps signal?

If the TomTom GPS unit is not charged and is low on power it will not connect correctly.
