Hi there everyone,

Firstly I apologize if this has come up before, I had a quick browse and a search but as I cant seem to enter words of less than 4 characters into the search (???) I thought i'd make a post smile.gif

I was simply wondering which is the very best Rom for the E200/Qtec 8080 etc. I have tried various Qtec and Orange roms and don’t really notice little difference in battery life/Bluetooth reliability.

So, Which is the best Rom manufacturer and Version smile.gif

Thank you for your time

Aaron

Agreed. I got the impression that the Orange rom is best, at least as far as battery life goes.

This is all great news smile.gif

Can someone please confirm that any of these ROMs will work with any of the HTC Voyager phones? ie. If i have the Imate Smartphone2 (with Operator ROM v1.10.15.2, Manufacturer ROM v1.11.15.32) will I be able to apply the Orange Swiss ROM (or any others) without frying the phone, AND still be able use the phone in English?

Tim.

HI.

I HAVE KROME IQ200. http://www.krome.com.au

It has got this data::
Microsoft Windows Powered Smartphone 2003
Version 1.20.0 (Build 13349)
Radio Version 1.18.00
Operator: 1.0.19.0
Manufacturer: 1.11.19.39
Language: 1.11.19.39

My question is which ROM should i update ?

My main concern is
1. Very Poor Battery Life
2. MMS sender name not displayed
3. With much effort able to send-receive MMS; still can't figure how HutchWorld GPRS(which uses proxy) :-(

Hope somebody helps me out. Thx in advance..

Interesting your ROM ..... uhm ... Radio version 1.18 (the last was 1.16.01 from QTEK) ... do you know if it's available for dowload somewhere ? :?:

Your M. Windows 2003 version is 4.20 (1.20 doesn't exist at all !) :?:

I would like to debrand my Orange rom; as in take away the Orange related links and other junk I never use, and have it more generic.

Just like in the i-mate and Qtek roms; however, I cannot stand those roms. The Arcsoft MMS client is abysmal. What in the heck is wrong with the nice, integrated Windows one? So that all your inboxes/outboxes/etc are in one, consistent place?

I like the camera and camcorder icons from those roms though. They match the rest of Windows icons nicely, unlike the fugly Orange ones. I hope the spv-developers people find a way to let people customise roms soon. I'd love to build my own custom clean rom. smile.gif

I know it's really stupid nitpicking a phone but I like to customise things, and change the look and feel to match how I like it. I always like to get the most out of my computers smile.gif

I use Qtek Rom, this are my infos :

Ms Windows 4.20.0 (Build 13349)
Radio version 1.16.01
Operator 1.10.10.1
Productor 1.11.10.36
Language 1.11.10.36
File system 4.20.13349.0

I suppose you have a more recent update !

Low battery is the problem of this phone, using bluetooth or GPRS communications can reduce battery autonomy also under one day ! Normaly I have 36-48h of usage but I don't use bluetooth at all and Internet navigation some times only (too priced in my country !).
My MMS client is ArcSoft MMS Composer Version 1.5.0.16 and is able to send messages to phone numbers or email with my Vodafone Italian SIM operator.

What error do you have when you try to send to an email address ?

I have up to 3-4 days of usage with my phone.. and it's on during the night in flight mode with bluetooth activated.
