 Smartphone 2002 Emulator crashing, Development

Hi, sorry if this is an FAQ. I am having trouble using the Smartphone 2002 Emulator on Windows XP. About 80% of the time, my system reboots when I try to start the Emulator. The other 20% of the time it is stable and works fine after it starts. Does anyone know a solution to this? (I found a few suggestions in past posts, but none seemed to work). Thanks.
