 Cant change home screen, Applications

Hi There can anybody help me i have a C500 which is sim unlocked and running on o2's network. I am having trouble altering the home screen on my c500 i downloaded one from modaco but can not install it, the file i downloaded was Homer_jay, i would like to know where to store it on my phone and second how to get it to work,

also do i need my phone application unlocked?

Yes, you need it app unlocked.

What format is the homescreen in? if it's a .hme file just copy it to the phone and run it and t will install itself.

Sorry to jump in on this thread, but i see your talking about hme files. Are these the same as the CAB files that can be found on here? I have been over to http://www.lemondeduskin.com/ and noticed that the majority of their homescreens are in the hme file format. Can i safely install these themes on my C500?
