I have an SPV C500. Current settings are the Bliss colour scheme and Default.jpg for the background image.

I want to change the background image but leave the homescreen layout itself unchanged - I like it the way it is and I don't really want to mess with it.

I made an image, which is attached for reference. My problem now is that I have no idea where to put it on the phone in order to be able to select it from the menu. I've tried the obvious ones already.... My phone is de-certed via offical de-cert and no other changes have been made except for having a GPS nav proggy installed.

If someone could point out the path I need for new backgrounds/wallpapers, that'd be great.

EDIT: Played some more and found it XD storage\application data\home, a folder with no other pictures in it for some reason... seems I need to edit the file to make it work properly on the phone, maybe reduce the colour depth or something... is there a guide to this somewhere?

EDIT2: Works as a bitmap (.bmp) file but it's 5 times the size >< any idea on how to stop the distortion that I'm getting with it in .jpg format? Feel free to d/l and use if you want smile.gif

I think the JPEG compression must be to do with whatever you're compressing it with- there will probably be some sort of size/quality setting.

Try this;

[EDIT- actually added the attachment this time...]
