 Help with pic, pic look bad

HI
I was tring to to make a homescreen with homescreen designer

but when i finished the pic or background images look like..... crap .....

JPG , JPEG , GIF , BMP all look bad so if you could tell me what i need to

do it would help out alot and thanks

Did you resize the image to 176x220 ?

yes i tried that and the pic still look bad , i don't know what i'm doing wrong

I saw a problem in Homescreen designer wich is that when u want to use startup or shutdown screens they have 2 b .gif at 256 color .It may also b that your picture is bad quality .I use Ruttensoft and i use mostly .jpg but the pictures are taken from other pictures that are at least 800x600 and the quality is undoubtable ,take a look in Download section and see one of my homescreens .. smile.gif
