My Dad was having trouble picking calls up in time. He keeps his XDAIIs in the standard pouch and can never get the phone out in time to answer calls. If any others find themselves with the same problem then here's how to get your phone to ring for the maximum allowed - 30 seconds: ( I think providers set it at 20 by default)
Press the following numbers/symbols into your phone: **61*07973100123*11*30# If you then press the Call button (Green) that will forward all non answered calls to your voice mail. If you want it to go elsewhere change the number in the middle (07973100123). The number at the end is the number of seconds (*30#). You can check your settings afterwards with the command: *#61# Then press the Call button (Green) 07973100123 is the Orange answerphone. Change this to your own provider's number. Hope somebody benefits from this - no idea why I took the notion to post it . . . . . but I did. GH |

Hi Ya,
If you enter your phone software on the M2000 select tools > options > services, then click on Call Forwarding and then click Get Settings after about 10secs the settings appear on screen and you get a drop down list from 5 to 30seconds to change the ring length before forwarding to the relevant phone number Shaun -------------------- Current Phone Orange SPV M5000

Jeebus! I have been wanting to do that for a long time and it worked for me! Thanks! Also, you 'could' call cingular to change it...but really, who wants to sit on their customer service line for 60 minutes.
