I've heard about method to remove your SD card and then hold the volume down button and power on the phone, and eventualy blue screen will pop up.

But that is not workning for me.

Does anybody know how to do this?

volume down button is for the 8380 I think, anyway on the 8390 you should hold the star (*) button and hold the poweron at the same time...

Good luck!

Press-hold Vol-Down and press-hold power - this works on my Mio8390.

star (*) button also works on my 8390, so we can use Volume-Down or *.
Maybe there are more interesting hidden boot-time shortcuts 8)
