I asked this in another thread and thought I would start a topic smile.gif

Lots of people now have the 4.2.1.1 ROM and the French 4.2.2.1 ROM

Apparantly Multipress has been fixed in the new ROM allowing use of number buttons at the same time as the joystick

I cant get it to work sad.gif

I have tried neary all the emulators, doom, quake and lots of smartphone specific games that need multipress. Joystick movement just stops as soon as a number is pressed (softkeys are still OK)

I have messed with the 'Multipress Timeout' in the settings but it seems to make no difference.

Have I got todo anything to make multipress work?

Many Thanks

Can't help you as I don't own a Typhoon, but just thought I'd let you know that the * key works as well as the softkeys.

I was using the 4.2.2.1 rom as I wasn't having the multipress issue at all. I'm now using a different handset using 4.2.1.1 and it is still there.

Weird.

It was said to be a hardware issue, so maybe it is just that the newer phones do not have it because they are different hardware :??::??::??:

I dunno. The 4.2.2.1 phone was older than this one.

I have a c500 which I had new in Feb. With the old ROM things like mario etc were unplayable due to the fact that I couldn't use two buttons at once. Since using the 4.2.1.1 ROM it has worked perfectly. The Multipress issue is definatley fixed on my phone!

I have just got my phone out and loaded up Wario Land 3 on GNUboy and it works perfectly.

Have you tried GNUBoy?

Maybe you have a different version of the leaked ROM??

oh, before anyone asks for the ROM please don't! I cannot give you any instructions as to where it can be found

*edit*

if it makes any difference I am using the soft key 1 to jump and the joystick to move wink.gif

Softkeys and Joystick have always worked at the same time on my fone, on the new and old ROM

I heard this new ROM fixed multipress using the keypad(numbers) and joystick

But it looks as if it doesnt......

That's not true, I have two c500's which I got at the same time (one for me and one for my wife)

The only thing I have tested this with is GNUBoy - but it is installed on both phones, my phone has the new ROM her phone has the original ROM it came with (last one - not early one with GAPI problem) On my phone I can run and jump with the soft key - on her phone she cannot - the soft key does not work with the directional joystick

But you are right that it doesn't let you press a number and a direction at the same time. It's just either of the softkeys
