Does anyone know how to make a shortcut to the device lock feature? I like to leave my K-JAM on when connected to WiFi, but can't put it into my pocket because it pushes buttons and things. I wanted to know if there was a way to create a shortcut that would activate the button lock feature (like on the today screen), so that I could map it to a button.

Thanks!!

I was wondering if there was a shortcut key combination for this, searching google found this topic.

On the Today screen I've moved the Device Lock item to the top
(it has to go underneath date for some reason)

This allows me to just press down twice and select to lock the device.
If anyone finds a better way please let us know.

Try this from Vito Technology. It isn't free but allows you to totally change all of your buttons including click once and click and hold. You can also have the buttons do different things depending on what Application you are using. Have downloaded the trial version and it is very good.

I just turn "sleep" it with a quick push to the power button, all the keys are locked except power that way and not too likely to push that.

You could try mapping (no need for Vito buttonmapper for this) the explorer (top right front) button to OK/close inside settings>personal>buttons.

Cheers,

Matx.

Excellent, thank you both.

Thinned out my start menu accordingly...
Why on earth is "Today" on there ?

Its always annoyed me that Today can't be removed from the start menu. I NEVER use it, as I either had a button mapped to today (on my previous non phone PPCs) on press the red end call button. No need for it taking up a spot
