For those of you who are on o2 or BT cell phone contracts i-mate have replaced version 1.3 with version 1.4. This fixes an incorrect setting within the MMS settings.

Which after I pointed it out to them, they promised to have uploaded on their site last Wednesday the 16th.
And they didn't as I downloaded it for my second I-mate on Friday. I emailed them, but no reply. Seems they FINALLY sorted it out... Cheers for the heads up mate. -------------------- Phonography: GA628 >(Nokias)3110 >5110 >3210 >6210 >7110 >8210(x2) >8310(x2) >6310i >7210(x3) >7650 >5100(x2) >7250(x2) >6100 >7250i >Blackberry 6230 >Orange E200 SPV >Nokia N-Gage(x2) >Blackberry 7230 >O2 XDA2 (on Orange) >Nokia 6230(x3) >C500 SPV (on O2) >6230i >S.E. hmmm, a small problem here. I dl the cab file, moved it to my storage card and tried to run it from within file manager.
I then get a message saying that the installation was unsuccessful because I do not have sufficient system permissions. I HAVE application unlocked and de-certed my C600 already. any other sugestions? Does this have to be run on an i-mate ROM or will it work on the default orange ROM too? There are THREE registry locks on an i-mate SP5 that need changing, to get everything to work. The C600 is likely worse again, as it's not an 'unlocked' handset. But do a search on this site, as full instructions are on here somewhere. -------------------- Phonography: GA628 >(Nokias)3110 >5110 >3210 >6210 >7110 >8210(x2) >8310(x2) >6310i >7210(x3) >7650 >5100(x2) >7250(x2) >6100 >7250i >Blackberry 6230 >Orange E200 SPV >Nokia N-Gage(x2) >Blackberry 7230 >O2 XDA2 (on Orange) >Nokia 6230(x3) >C500 SPV (on O2) >6230i >S.E. I have searched all ready and as far as I can see there are a few things I have done... 1> installed cert.cab 2> changed 3 registry settings to application unlock the handset 3> Used a program on my PC to SIM unlock the phone. I couldnt find anything else that I needed to do to unlock the handset. Is there anything else that I should be doing as I cannot find anything else on here? |

Mmm - weird - all I can then think of is that the CAB file from i-mate is checking the CID of the Orange C600 and seeing it as a none i-mate device, refusing to install.
Never heard of this before though, with anything other than actual ROM updates themselves, not application installs. But OTHER C600 users, to the best of my belief, have installed this, so I wonder how. Unfortunately, I am not the best person to ask, as I am an actual SP5 user. I would have thought some other users would chip in by now to help you though - come on guys - if you've managed this, help this guy out and post here... -------------------- Phonography: GA628 >(Nokias)3110 >5110 >3210 >6210 >7110 >8210(x2) >8310(x2) >6310i >7210(x3) >7650 >5100(x2) >7250(x2) >6100 >7250i >Blackberry 6230 >Orange E200 SPV >Nokia N-Gage(x2) >Blackberry 7230 >O2 XDA2 (on Orange) >Nokia 6230(x3) >C500 SPV (on O2) >6230i >S.E. It will run on a C600, i have flashed my C600 with a Imate rom to loose all the orange branding and then run the Settings.cab which installed fine. i have also installed a a Vodafone.Cab to the Qtek 8310 which also went on fine. What firmware you running? |

Okay then, I have now flashed the ROM to the Orange AKU2 one they just released. As was expected it immediatley locked down my phone again so I emailed orange for their official unlock tool and used that.
Now that I have unlocked it this way it has taken the cab file first time. Thanks go to Little Potato Head for getting the file for me. |
