 locked spv m500, help

ive tried to unlock my m500 and now its asking for a code. i nderstand i need a remote programme to kill simlock exe and to run the prog again any help much appreciated please. its for my daughter as ive got a new phone. she wants to use it on 02. I should have left well alone ha ha. please can someone give a newbie some help . thanks in anticipation.

I've little experience of the unlock program you're using (I'm guessing it's the all_unlock?) but did hear a while back that there were compatibility problems specifically with the M500.

Others seem to think they got it to work though so hopefully they'll be able to give you some pointers...

also when i dial *#06# i get a completly differend imei code then i juse the software?

Ahh I had the same problem and I solved it (after 2 days of getting nowhere with the local Orange shop or TS)

I DON'T condone SIM unlocking and if the following goes way over your head then you will probably have to send the phone to HTC for them to re-flash the phone. Orange support sux in this area as well as upgrading your rom; to my bitter dissmay.

You don't need that remote program biggrin.gif you need prun.exe . You run it from the command line of your pc. Copy the unlock program for the M500 to the root folder of the M500 then open a command prompt and enter

prun \xdadev_all_unlock-v1.6.exe -q -f

or

prun \xdadev_all_unlock-v1.5.exe -q -f

Depending on your rom version.

The sim lock screen will prevent you from running much on the phone because it is set to always stay in the foreground. that's why you need prun.

You can get prun and other dev tools by looking on an M500/PPC dev forum. GOOGLE IT.

If all goes well after about half a minute your radio Icon will show it's connected. Just do a soft reset of the phone now and next time the phone boots the lock screen will have gone.

Dear put this file in sd card
use file explorer and run the file from sd card.

u will see the message "unlocked"
