Hey.
I need some advice on which device to get. Are there any recommendations, any favorits at the moment? Looking for a device with a nice big screen for good calander options and nice overview. Its is essential that i can use phone capabilities well (sms and talk). I am mostly worried about the sms thing, if there is no keyboard. Can you get used to writing on the device without the keyboard? Thanks Anders |

If you're texting a lot then a keyboard certainly helps so either a C600 (smartphone) or Wizard (PPC) or Universal (all singing and dancing but large and with a pricetag to match) seem to be your options.

I have just gone from SPV C500 to a M1500 and my main worry beforehand was the lack of keyboard for texting. In reality, Im using letter recognizer on the M1500 and find this option far, far better than the multitap option on a normal phone handset. I have also lost the constant ache I had in my thumb joint! It is SO easy just to write the message out on the screen and let the M1500 do the rest. -------------------- M3100 running Schaps 4.22 ROM and 1.50 radio - its beautiful and I use it for looking at dodgy women sites on shops WIFI

I went from a smartphone2, up to a HTC Wizard, and although it took awhile to get used to the whole touch screen side of things, I now find it very easy to just slide the keyboard out, write an SMS message or add in my work roster and then slip it back in... The only time I have trouble using the keyboard is when the charger/sync cable is plugged in, kind of gets in the way a bit... But otherwise, I highly recommend the HTC Wizard !!

I've got a m1500 and use the onscreen keyboard with no problem a friend has got the m500 he prefers the letter recogniser suppose it's down to personal choice only thing with the touchscreen devices is that unless you use the stylus typing is very hit and miss unless you have very small fingers
Ps watch the stylus my wife thought it would be the perfect tool to open a packet of biscuits and snaped it |

If you still want to be able to type text messages the way you're used to you can add a small utility called sms writer (thou i prefer to use the stylus and screen keyboard).
