My camera seems to work fine and there is no problem until I hit the capture button then the resulting picture that I am asked whether or not to discard, is totally unreadle, it comes out as a bunch of squiggles. Any suggestions?

The same problem happened to me. I find out that my phone was running low on storage memory. I changed the directory to save my pics on the storage card and it hasn't happened ever since.
