This is a fantastic Home Screen for the Smarthpone.
Thanks for doing the work and sharing it with us. Could you possibly update it to change tyhe military time format to standard time? Also, in the icon list on the left side of the screen, I keep thinking it's the 17th at a glance. Could you change that to reflect something generic? When I go to the Start menu, I have a gray background and white text, leaving the text unreadable. I don't want this to sound like complaining because I really love this homescreen. I just hope that making a modification to it might be simple enough to entertain the notion. Again, thank you for sharing this with us. |

Could you possibly update it to change tyhe military time format to standard time? i am afraid, i don't quite understand ... what is "military time format" ? Also, in the icon list on the left side of the screen, I keep thinking it's the 17th at a glance. Could you change that to reflect something generic? yes, i know, this is a problem... but i wanted to use original mac os icons... and the ical icon has the 17th! what could be something generic for this icon? i don't know ... When I go to the Start menu, I have a gray background and white text, leaving the text unreadable. the white text is for using the background image (see instructions.txt) if you don't use the start menu background image you should delete the correspondent line of the color scheme in the .home.xml file - LP |

Military time - 15:45
Normal time - 3:45 Regarding the 17th issue... how about removing the 17 and just having the calendar without a number on it. Or put a grid on it so it loks like a month calendar or something? -------------------- |

If possible could you give more space to the calendar events on the homescreen. As it is now it doesn´t display all-day events, only the first appointment.

Military time - 15:45 Normal time - 3:45 you mean, normal time is 0 am - 12 am and 1 pm - 23 pm? and military time is 0:00 - 23:59 ? if so, this is a bit confusing, because what you call "military time" is our "normal time" (in Europe except the UK) Regarding the 17th issue... how about removing the 17 and just having the calendar without a number on it. Or put a grid on it so it loks like a month calendar or something? yes, thats a good idea ... ! |

As it is now it doesn´t display all-day events, only the first appointment. i am sorry but with the current homescreen design it is not possible to display all-day events, because all-day events are a different plugin, which would need a separate icon in the dock... two problems: 1. which icon should that be? (a second calendar icon would look ugly) 2. i would have to make all icons smaller to fit it to the screen ... it would be nice, if you could join two plugins, so that for both you can use the same changing background image... but that does not work. i know, this is something that's missing, i would like to have it myself, but i found no way to implement it in my homescreen |

Regarding the last few posts, and my initial post.
I would like to emphasize that I am grateful for your sharing of this homescreen. I was hoping that the reccomendations were simple ones. Sorry about the confusion over 'military time'. I did edit the .xml to change the text in the Sart Menu to black. Thanks. Thank you for the replies. |

here is a way to change my "normal time" into your "normal time"
- in the .home.xml file scroll to line number 72 - change this - into this now "15:03" will be "03:03" hope this helps... how about the calendar icon? is it still confusing you? i have to say, i got used to it very fast and i don't confound it any more with the real date... regards, lp Regarding the last few posts, and my initial post.

You are correct, I would get used to the Calendar icon. However, I found a Calendar Icon that says iCal on it instead of 17 and I did a little editing... (see attachments) If you look really close, you can see that it still says July. Thank you for the guidance on editing the xml.

I know this topic is old, but I finally got around to trying this theme and I really like it. My only problem is that the text in the start menu is white so it's very hard to read.
