SPV c550 windows mobile 2003 update?

Hello Everyone

I have a SPV c550 with windows mobile 2003. Is there a update allready? Maybe to a next version of windows mobile? I read on the windows site that there is a windows mobile 5.0. Can Install that on my spv c550? And yes, how do I do that?

You cannot download WM5 as an update and its not available for your device. It comes installed with some other devices but that is microsofts doing.

However I read sometime last year that orange will release an update of WM5 for the C550 but dont hold your breath as im doubtful it will be done.

Hey guys, i work for Orange and there has been nothing siad internally about a wm5 update for the C550. i have the same phone too and am always checking for updates,
but,
Today there was a briefing in handset faults to say that if anyone tries to install WM5 onto their C550 and as a result it ruins the phone (which is apprently likely), then they will not be covered, even if they have care, and won't get a replacement. End of.

Shame I know, but my advice:
Don't do it man.

well obviously! this is what people don't understand. ppl want to keep getting things and installing it when its not fit for the device then they blame the ppl who are not responsible
