I just bought a qtek 8310 and upgraded to the latest ROM. When I lock the keypad (hold "end" button) the display goes blank some time after. No problem there cause it saves the battery life (the screen goes blank even though under power management I have display timeout set to never and home screen time out is set to never also.
Here's the problem, the phone "freezes" in that if I press a button the keypad will light up, the keys do not respond (the green led flashes like normal) BUT THE SCREEN DOES NOT REACTIVE! This happens every time the screen times out for a while. When I try to call the phone when it is in this state it just rings then goes to vmail. I end up having to remove the battery then reboot. HELP!! |

I discovered a similar kind of bug on my 8310;
I'm using auto keylock from Danny Baumann and have the UKU2 rom update running. When the phone keypad is on the moment of autolocking, and I press a button in the same moment it freezes as you describe. This is the only situation when it freezes. The only solution is indeed to remove the battery. I now set the timer on 1 minute, so the change is smaller to happen again. I now lock it manually by long pressing red button. Are you sing the same software? Or is it a bug in the new Qtek rom? |

Hey Guys,
I'm having a screen freezing problem of sorts on my new 8310. About two to three times a day, when i try to launch or switch programs, the screen will freeze, but usually only about two thirds of the screen. The rest of the screen will display properly, and i can even navigate and launch programs (obviously with difficulty) using the visible portion of the screen. Everything keeps wprking, but no matter what i do, i cant fix it without doing a soft reset, only to have it come back again shortly after. I have reflashed the phone 3 times with the latest Qtek AKU2 rom, but it hasn't fixed it. I hav only had the phone for five days!!! Im not actually sure whether it was any better with the original ROM as i upgraded pretty quickly after i got it. Anyone else had this problem beofre or have any thought?? The phone is great otherwise... |
