If like me you want GPRS to stay permanently connected, even after pressing the red end key to lock the phone:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Comm\ConnMgr\Providers\{7C4B7A38-5FF7-4bc1-80F6-5DA7870BB1AA}\Connections\(GPRS connection name)\AlwaysOn Just change it from 0 to 1. Sadly, it's not all good news.
If you want to use your phone as a modem, keeping it permanently connected prevents this. The modem tries to dial up and the connection tries to re-connect and so on and so on. Also if you had a bad GPRS connection there is no way to terminate the connection (holding the home key doe not bring up a menu), so you have to go into flight mode and back again. This is obviously not the way the previous shell orange tweak worked -------------------- Phone History: 7110 > T68 > T68i > 7650 > SPV > E100 > 6600 > P900 > Treo 600 > E200 > C500 > Jam > SDA > C550 > QTEK8100 > iMate SP5 & JasJar > HTC MTeoR > Samsung i600 > HTC S620 > Dash
