Does anyone have a copy/backup image of the original 16Mb 'Try Card' that shipped with the C500?

No, because the rules forbid file sharing.

Back when I originally purchased my C500, I backed up and formatted the card, but have since lost the backup  .Apologies for the original request but I didn't think that the free demo software provided on the card would be in breach of the rules with regard to file sharing. |

It might not be illegal as such but you have to be careful with redistributing free stuff. Orange would say that the Try Card gives them a commercial advantage over their competitors, which they would lose if it was available from any-old-where.
If you're desperate you could try your local shop. They often have spare ones lying around. Just remember to be nice and smile

Well, it was all useless garbage anyway ....... why not pass it on with a nice free copy of TCPMP and some themes instead??
