 Qtek Registration Problems, Not a valid IMEI#?

Hi,

Has anyone managed to register on www.myqtek.com?

I'm trying to register, and when I put the IMEI number for my 8500 in, it gives the error "Not a valid IMEI# (only Brightpoint authorized original products are supported by this site. Contact your place of purchase for ongoing support of your device)".

I'm rather puzzled now!

There are two suppliers of the qtek 8500, one of them is brightpoint the other is danguard. You cant register none brightpoint sold devices on brightpoints site (myqtek.com). You have to find danguards site (I dont know the address, sorry).

From what I understand Danguard devices get registered at the official qtek site which is www.qtekcorp.com

Me too. I have tried to register on qtek as well as well as myqtek and none of it works.

Whats going on?

I really dont know why they have made it difficult. My phone is a Qtek 8500, in Qtek packaging, with the www.qtekcorp.com web site address plastered all over the box, so why can't I go to the Qtekcorp web site and register, it just doesn't make sense.
