Hi

Have any of you been able to load TomTom Navigator 5 on to your Qtek 8500? I have the software copied on to my storage card, but I can't get the application to work. Any ideas? sad.gif

Hi,

What problems are you having?

I had a problem where the screen was small, fuzzy and distorted so unusable.
It was fixed with Tom Tom Mobile 5.2 check here

Note you also need to copy the files directly onto your card via a card reader and not via Active Sync.

Hope this helps

I basically can't get the appliation to boot up. On my Qtek s100 the software automatically loaded from the SD card, but on the 8500 it doesn't seem to do that.

Thanks very much, I'll give both of these suggestions a go tonight

For the 8500 (Smartphone) you will need to use TomTom Mobile 5.20 to run. TomTom Navigator is a PDA version. This applies for the executable, you can use the Navigator maps with the Mobile version.

Tom Tom Mobile 5.2 works fine with the 8500, except for the fact that the GPS signal is constantly lost.
But, I still dont know if it is a qtek8500 problem or my GPS receiver.
I tested the receiver with an imate SP5m and it works fine. But I refuse to think that it is something wrong with my sexy 8500 wub.gif

Why would anyone use TT when CP7 is available? But I don't use ity on my Startrk - It's so much better on my Ameo....
