How do i create shortcuts to programs that don't have them once installed. Searched the forum but no luck.

Cheers

For example?

Applications should create their own.

Do you mean you need to create shortcuts to apps that you've installed that haven't created their own shortcuts?

If so, you can...
1. Connect your phone to your PC, browse thru to \Program Files\, then into the applications folder. Now right-click on the program file, choose copy. Next browse to where you want the shortcut (probably \Windows\Start Menu) and right-click again and choose "Paste shortcut"

or...

2. Using File Explorer on the phone do the same thing. It's more fiddly, but you don't need a laptop.

The other obvious way is by hand. This is easiest on your PC

Assume your app is \Program Files\MyApplication\MyApp.exe

Create a text file call MyApp.txt
Enter this:
CODE
99#\Program Files\MyApplication\MyApp.exe

Save the file
Rename the file to MyApp.LNK
Copy the file to \Windows\Start Menu on your device

Obviously you need to replace MyApplication, MyApp.exe with the proper folder and file names, and MyApp.txt/LNK should have a better name too!
