 SMS Notification Problems

Device(s): Cingular 3125 T-mobile Shadow
Ok i have a Cingular 3125 and if i set a song as the ringtone for new text messages after i open the phone and even read the text message the ringtone will play until it is over. I was just wondering if anybody could help me with this?

Well, the only way is to get short ringtone. Let's say you use 3minute MP3 - then the music will be played for 3 minutes when message comes.

Ya thats exactly what happens. So theres no way to change this, all I can do is use shorter ringtones?
