Now available from the downloads section here:

EDIT: Latest version (0.45c): Battery/Signal on Iconbar are now icons, along with Memory too.

Attached File  EndlessUltimate.gif ( 505.49K ) Number of downloads: 216

Due to the VOX Portrait/Landscape issue using the CommCEntric plugin on my "Endless" homescreen, I decided to try phoneAlarm plugin instead.

With phoneAlarm, I've managed to create an IconBar that can be used with different color schemes, and also delivers the following functionality:-

- Activate/De-Activate Wifi
- Turn on/off Phone Sounds
- SMS Alerts/Load SMS Inbox
- Missed Call Alert/Load Missed Calls list
- Voicemail Alert/Call Voicemail
- Email Alert/Load Email Inbox
(All Alerts have a repeat functionality so you'll never miss that important Message)

- Switch Profiles (with automatic Profile Switch functionality)
- Switch Tasks or Close unwanted programs
- Activate/De-Activate GPRS connection
- Activate/De-Activate Bluetooth
(Bluetooth Headset Icon will be displayed in front of Bluetooth icon if a BT headset is in use)

Latest version (Battery, Signal and Memory on Iconbar in Landscape)
Attached File  IconBar.PNG ( 19.45K ) Number of downloads: 115

For more info on phoneAlarm visit http://www.pocketmax.net/phoneAlarmSP.html

This works great with the Portrait/Landscape switching on the VOX

Latest version (0.45c)
Attached File  Landscape.PNG ( 37.04K ) Number of downloads: 58

I tried to keep a similar layout to the previous "Endless" screens, and use the same color schemes, so I included a number of different color iconbar backgrounds to keep with these color schemes.

I've also included a number of different backgrounds.

Examples:

Attached File  beach.PNG ( 82.47K ) Number of downloads: 51
Attached File  Vista.PNG ( 55.38K ) Number of downloads: 66
Attached File  Red.PNG ( 58.12K ) Number of downloads: 34
Attached File  Sunset.PNG ( 76.13K ) Number of downloads: 40

Please feel free to comment (good or bad)

Thanks.

I've uploaded a revised cab as the LightBlue Iconbar background was missing.

Instead of the installing the new cab, just save this PNG file to \Program Files\phoneAlarm\EndlessUltimate:-

Attached File  IconBarLightBlue.PNG ( 3.67K ) Number of downloads: 44

Also added a Transparent (Clear) Iconbar to downloads version

"EndlessUlimate (Facade)" customized, and a clear iconbar
Attached File  Facade_And_Clear.PNG ( 35.66K ) Number of downloads: 37

To save re-installing download here, unzip, save and copy to "\Program Files\phoneAlarm" on the device

Attached File  EndlessUltimate_Clear.zip ( 827bytes ) Number of downloads: 142

Note: Transparent iconbar works fine in Portrait, but when switched to landscape, image becomes slightly distorted (Won't crash device though!)
This is currently being fixed by the developer of phoneAlarm and a new version is due out within next two weeks

EDIT: To refresh in landscape, navigate to the "Sound On/Off" icon (next to Settings and Wifi) and toggle. This will refresh screen.

Attached File  Capture_9.PNG ( 71.76K ) Number of downloads: 30

Thank you for this nice homescreen! Just wondering, how do I disable Windows Live on the homescreen? I think this slow down my phone dramatically. I have tried unticking the choices in the Windows Live configuration but this is of no use since there seem to be something overriding this choice?

Edit; never mind...edited the custom xml file. Problem solved!

Thanks for the info.

Out of interest, as you've managed to edit it now and remove Windows live in the custom one, has performance of your phone improved at all?

By removing Windows Live from the homescreen my phone acts much faster (menus, closing open "windows" etc) . As I have read on other forums users have bad experiences of having Windows Live integrated with homescreen. Other who have this experience?

there appears to be icons missing at the very top of some colour screens. For example, where you have posted 4 screenshots further up the thread, the far left and far right are missing icons around the word "meeting" but the second from the right has all the icons displayed. Is this something I'm doing wrong?

If its the icons surrounding the profile bar you are referring to, they appear when you have a missed call, new message, mail etc.

It is those icons I am reffering to. What doesn't make sense is that they are selectable when they are not there! It would be better (and probably far more difficult to code) if
 there was nothing selectable there when the icons weren't showing, and then they came up when they were selectable.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry, but that's a feature with phoneAlarm, and not something I have control over when making the phonealarm skin. I can have them as selectable all the time, or not at all. I can't have them only selectable when they are "active".
I could raise it as an enhancement with the Developer to see if it's possible.

I did think about not having these icons selectable at all, as the Messages plugin is also on the homescreen, but I got used to accessing my messages etc via this method, so I left them as selectable.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply. I wasn't complaining by the way, it was just something I was wondering about! I'm very glad to have got this homescreen working!

Attached is a Skype version of the EndlessUltimate-Default.home:-

Attached File  EndlessUltimate_Skype.home.zip ( 2.11K ) Number of downloads: 99

(Extract to your PC, then copy into "\Application Data\Home" via ActiveSync to your phone)

If you want the Skype option in the other "EndlessUtlimate" homescreens, all you need to do is copy the XML files to your PC, open them in Notepad, and replace the following text:-

QUOTE
<!-- Windows Live Search-->
<plugin clsid="{604FC0F0-0299-4f9e-BE6C-7DFFA7B6B93A}" XAMLFile="res:WLMDeckCode:207" name="res:WLMDeckCode:207" height="15" heightminimized="15" transparent="true"/>

with this:-

QUOTE
<!-- Skype -->
<plugin clsid="{61F6E879-E592-4006-9B44-1AA3BE9B6C80}" name="Skype" height="58" autoheight="true">
<background>
<format state="selected" bgcolor="transparent"/>
</background>
<skype x="0" y="0" h-margin="2" v-margin="2" text-margin="6" separator-width="1" separator-color="COLOR_HOMERULE">
<selected highlight="COLOR_HOMEHIGHLIGHT" fgcolor="COLOR_HIGHLIGHT"/>
<unselected highlight="transparent" fgcolor="COLOR_HOMETEXT"/>
</skype>
</plugin>

Save, then copy back your phone.

Thanks

When I try to install 3.EndlessUltimateV0.45c.CAB I get the following error (translated from Dutch)

"Installation failed. The program can't be installed or the setting can't be processed because the right systemauthorisation is not available."

I followed every step in your README.txt.

Any idea whatcan cause this error?

Hi,

Your phone will need to be Application Unlocked due to the cab file adding some registry entries for the black color bars.

There are posts on the Modaco site on how to App unlock your phone, e.g If you have an Orange branded SPV device you can App unlock it here: http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdef.aspx

Thanks
