So, I currently have a pair of headphones with a 3.5mm jack and an adaptor for my XDA Mini S (Wizard). My Tytn II arrives today or tomorrow (I think tomorrow) but I won't be able to use my headphones without an adaptor.

Question is, what to do?

1. Get an adaptor for my current phones. Good option, and cheap. My current headphones are the 'round the ear' ones, which is good as I have odd-shaped lobes which means that most normal phones fall out of my ears.

2. Get some new phones, maybe like these: http://www.expansys.com/p.aspx?i=149111 Good option, like the idea of the in-ear 'buds' (to stop them falling out) and the auto volume adjustment and noise cancelling is good for listening to on the train/tube too. However, even with my Modaco £20 Expansys voucher, they're quite pricey.

I'm also not sure about having something else to have to remember to charge.

Any other options? I'd ideally like something which doesn't require a big lump of plastic sticking out the bottom of my Tytn, so something elegant would be good (hence the Bluetooth idea is attractive).

In particular, I'm looking at one of these 3:

Only the DS220s actually mentions a microphone - at the risk of asking a silly question, do all of these phones have a mic so they can take a call without needing to pick up the phone itself?

I want a pair of 'bud' headphones, not the massive ones. Alternatively, if there's an option to have a paid of wired headphones with a slimline adaptor that would be okay too.

Edit: Oh, and one other question - what's the charger like on these? Do they have a proprietrary charger, or a mini-USB port? I'd quite like to be able to charge them at work and home.

I've been looking at the SE Bluetooth buds for a while now. Especially over the past couple of days as I'm sure they'd make the perfect accompaniment to my TyTn II

Anyone know roughly what kind of strain stereo Bluetooth headsets put on a battery??

I have the DS970s and am using them with my new Kaiser. A few observations.

the form factor is great - I like lanyard headphones

sound quality on A2DP is OK, but not as good as my old logitech bluetooth headphones

using the phone is OK - but I don't reaaly get many calls in the car so difficult to comment

FF and Rewind do not work properly on the headphones themselves

they are rather quiet, even on full blast, and on the motorway are almost too quiet

battery life is not brilliant - OK for a couple of car journeys per day if you recharge each day, but seem to run out after a couple of hours when I've used them with other phones.

Thanks. In the end I decided I wasn't sure about having something else to charge, etc, so I plumped for the Expansys £10 off deal on the HTC RC W100 3.5mm adaptor - which saved me £40 (about 2/3) of the cost of a pair of bluetooth phones.

A2DP was cack on the Hermes, didn't work with a lot of devices and suffered from stuttering, breakup, poor range and generally very low quality. Would you say you were experiencing any of these problems?

Anyone coming to this forum might get the impression that the Kaiser is nothing but problems. This is, unequivocally, the best windows mobile phone / smartphone / PDA I've ever owned, (a list that includes the original SPV, C500, MDA compact, MDA pro, Ipaq 4700 etc etc). The absolute BEST thing about it is that the processor seems to, at last, have caught up with the operating system, and you don't have long waits in between switching programs etc. It's almost as quick as using a Palm pilot!

I'm thinking of getting one of the three in 1 usb headphone adapters or a USB to 3.5mm converter. Both these are listed as being for the original TYTN, does anyone know if they will still work on the Kaiser? I.e. has the USB socket changed at all?

Same USB socket as the Hermes/Tytn, so they should work. I bought a USB adapter off eBay -- it's the only one I could find that had a microphone built in. I've got a pair of Etymotic ER4P's on order -- they should come in Wednesday PM.
