Opera 9.50 Beta on the Eee is truly the ultimate web browsing experience.

Install it, visit a site that's too wide for the Eee, and hit CTRL-F11. WOW! biggrin.gif

er...Paul, can you give us a quick few lines of how to install it please?

it doesn't seem to be on any of my repos, so I downloaded it from Opera site. But when I try to install it from File Manager or Console I get an error message.

Can you help?

Cheers

IIRC I downloaded the file, extracted it ('tar zxvf filename'), changed to the new directory and did 'sudo ./install.sh'.

I could then run it just by typing 'opera'.

I had a play with the Windows version (after having to google into the download page) and to be honest, couldn't find many sites that needed resizing. Modaco (not terrible, only the forum page) and Youtube (doesn't work anyway). So yeah, nice idea and useful when needed, but it doesn't seem to be as much of an issue as you might think (in my experience anyway).
