I have a rather starnge question.

I have a HTC Touch phone and in the car i use a Jabra Bluetooth headset.
Because my phone is in it's cover most of the time i start getting annoyed by the steps i have to take to activate/deactive bluetooth each time i get in the car (i don't want bluetooth running all the time).

Since you can adress the "camera-button" to different options i wanted to use this button to start/stop my bluetooth (I don't take that much pictures).
The problem is, you can only adress the button to applications, not to functions inside application (in this case: bluetooth-function inside the comm-manager application).

Question: is there somebody who can help me with/build me an application to start/stop bluetooth on the HTC Touch (by Orange).

Here you go.

VJVolubilis

Does what you want and more, just install the cab from that webpage and select "VJVolubilis Blue Toggle" for your camera button. As you keep the Touch in its case most of the time you may want to edit the shortcut (VJVolubilis Blue Toggle.lnk) to remove the -status option, otherwise you will end up with a message box on the screen for each time you press the button. I use total commander to edit shortcuts when needed.

I use phonealarm for profiles.

When I leave in the morning it is set to loud which basically does the following...

Setup Notification levels / volumes / turns bluetooth on/ turns 3g on/ headset profile on and launches pocket player.

Whilst I'm walking down the street I turn on my bluetooth headset and press play smile.gif

Coming back home I switch to home profile which does the following.

Re-adjusts sound levels/ drops to 2G / drops bluetooth / shuts down pocket player / starts wifi.

Only thing I dont like about phonealarm is its today plugin from which I select my profiles. I wish there was a hot key way of doing this

Unfortunatly Phonealarm is not free.
I installed VJVolubilis but i get the message "The file VJVolubus"cannot be opened because it is not signed with a trusted certificate...
So it does not work.. (yet).

You need to Application Unlock your device then by the sounds of it.

Quick question though... why not just leave BT on? If it's not in Discoverable mode you can't be "got" and the battery life is that good on the Touch that you shouldn't notice the difference there.

Thanks,

I think you mean this page?
I get an error (see my reply in that topic @ the bottom.

Why not BT on?? I work in a hospital and some parts do only allow phone activity, and some parts nothing @ all (flightmode is perfect then)...

CommManagerPro could do what you need, you could even have it turn off BT in the particular 'cell' your place of work is in?
