 Is There An MP4 Codec For TCPMP 0.72RC1?

I guess you are playing mp4 and it says something about files being removed due to intellectual rights considerations. Thus images play, but no sound.

Installed the codac. Unfortunately, TCPMP is much less smooth than WM Media Player sad.gif . I guess I'll have to continue my search for a good mp4 player.

I think the most highly rated media player is 'core player'. I' m not entirely sure if it plays MP4 files but I know it plays AVI files to a higherv standard than TCMP player does, as there is less freezing of the screen and moure fluidity. The only fault of this player that I know is you have to pay for it.

Many pocket pc enthusiasts still use it though

I've always used mp4 files on tcpmp.
It's the aac codec that most mp4 video files are encoded with for audio thats the problem
Plays smoothly on my smartphone @ 200mhz

Aaah if its not smooth enough, then you may need to change the graphics version you are using, such as direct draw, gdi etc. Open a file and I think its in the display settings.

Don't take my word for it, but it seems that there is no trial version on the applications official website. It also costs $24.95.

I do believe however that TCPMP is kind of a free beta version of core player. Can someone confirm this?

TCPMP (the CORE Pocket Media Player) is what I believe TCPMP stands for. This is the original version of "The Core" player. The Core has now become licensed software.

Ok, but I've now got the full 1.1.3 Core Player (new GUI, although it's a little too "Real-Player" for my tastes) and it still can't play MPEG-4 video (which it claims my AVI file is...)

Any way of getting round this? The old (free) TCPMP (0.7 something) could play MPEG-4 files - can I extract any codecs from this somehow?

Don't know the answer to your question, but yes TCPMP does seem capable of playing MP4 files . Funny that the licensed version doesn't though
