[Edit: If you're not in already, i'm afraid you missed out!]

Just came across this deal on the Orange site, ordered one, and felt I had to share biggrin.gif

£129.99 buys you a reconditioned SPV M700 (HTC Trinity), easily upgraded to WM6 and SIM unlocked, with a free Samsung C120 phone too! A serious bargain in my book, in fact i've just bought one - the Trinity is a GREAT device!

Head on over to this page at Orange Accessories to order, I suspect it won't be around for long! ohmy.gif

Can the M700 be unlocked FOC?
I don't know a lot about the M700 - apart from the lack of keyboard - what are the drawbacks? How does it compare to the Touch?
Looks a bargain at this price - tempting as a spare phone...

Yes it can be unlocked FOC.

Drawbacks? Only 64MB RAM I suppose, but that's not a massive one. I ran one as my main device for ages and it was awesome.

I'd prefer white, would match the MoDaCo C600 ;)

...but then very few devices are piano black so...

Nor do we now, it says 'coming soon'.
That will teach me to dither. Normally I just buy things then regret it later - this time it's the other way round.
I wonder if they will get aqny more in?

You could always go for a symbian device instead tongue.gif

Academic now, but all the WM6 builds I tried for the Trinity were buggy in one way or another (and I see from recent comments on XDA that nothing much has changed). If you need something stable and reliable you're best sticking with WM5.

so there is not an official WM6 upgrade for this phone? Otherwise it sounds like a good prospect.Has it got built in GPS? Is WM6 really necessary?

There's no "official" one no, although you could flash it with the official Dopod WM6 ROM as they offered upgrades to their customers. It does have built-in GPS, but you may need to have it activated as the early models didn't have it activated.
